Details

IE and the System 9 Finder allow the user to command-click and drag window contents. The result is that you can scroll through a document a pixel at a time, much more accurately than with the arrow keys or the scroll bars. It would be really neat to see this feature implemented in Mozilla. I used it all the time before I switched from IE.
Oops! Changed Severity to "enhancement". Also, I'm not certain that this belongs in "Keyboard Navigation". "Event Handling" perhaps?

Nick, can you check through the Mac OS 8/9 and Mac OS X HI Guidelines for this one? If it's there, this is a higher-priority bug. If not, it can still stay, but only as an enhancement.
I believe NN4.x has this right?

Duping in favor of bug 63712, cmd+click and/or cmd+drag for autoscroll/panning like what happens when you middle-click in IE for Windows. See mpt's bug 63712 comment 21. You'll be able to scroll precisely using autoscroll. With autoscroll, precise scrolling is a matter of timing rather than motor precision, which is fine because scrollbars already let us scroll precisely if we can get the cursor in exactly the right spot. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 63712 ***
