To reproduce, simply enter 'file:///' in the URL bar, then search for a file (as opposed to a sub-directory). It looks and feels and acts just like a link, but it is not underlined. Using 8/26 builds on Linux. Both Windows and Mac have underlines. Though windows is a bit overzealous.

I think I need to fix the style rules to ensure that the height of the table rows is 16px.

With the Dec 02 Linux build, I'm not seeing any underlines on the local links. I typed file:///bin/ in the url field but none of the links in the browser window were underlined.

This sounds like a feature :) I hate the underlined filenames. its un-necessary. wrong type of style-master, methinks (XUL and CSS look ok -- possibly some kind of deeper problem?) Sorry to keep throwing these back to you, don, but you keep throwing me ones for platforms I can't test on ;) While I was looking at the CSS, I made some global non-bookmark folder graphics, and some updated css to make the directory view look a little nicer. I'll check those in later.

I actually think this is ok now, it used to be you couldn't tell the difference between a directory and a file, now you can. marking won't fix
