Details

Simply, going back to a prior form page using the browser's back button with previously entered data does not preserve the data. For example, filling out a form and submitting it can result in another page telling you to hit the back button and fill in what's missing. Hitting the back button puts you back to an empty form; i.e. all fields are cleared and controls set to defaults. Normal behavior is form is unchanged. Behavior is "normal" for IE5 and NN 4.61.

For the record, this seems more like a duplicate of bug 4974, but that bug was marked and verified as a duplicate of bug 3805. In the 1999092909 build under NT, I am having trouble seeing whether or not this has or has not been fixed due to other problems with History. Bug 3805 has not yet been marked fixed in any case.
