I think mcaffee reported something similar to this in the past, so I'm cc:'ing him also on this one. using 9/15 build of apprunner 1) launch apprunner 2) launch editor 3) immediately do File | Close you get a Save prompt(separate bug, it shouldn't prompt you if you haven't typed anything). 4) Hit Don't save Notice the editor doesn't exit and instead you get a grey window that just sits there.. linux only.

assigned to akkana, cc kin in case he has time to look at it instead. first, find out if this is an editor-specific bug, or if other app combinations (like browser-mail) has this same problem. If so, reassign to xp toolkit, maybe hyatt.

I cannot reproduce this on Linux.

I"m remotely logged into a linux machine from a Solaris box...maybe thats the issue..

Must be a Solaris issue -- I don't see it running to my local Linux display, or remotely displaying to IRIX. Chris, who owns Solaris bugs?

solaris-only bug can wait until after beta. could somebody convince me this is an editor bug?

[richb - 5/17/00] Is this the current equivalent? 1) start Mozilla 2) do New -> Edit Blank Page 3) Select File -> Close from the composers menu. If yes, then I do not see this problem using the M15 milestone on my Solaris (SPARC) machine (compiled with Gnu v2.95.2).

Move to M21 target milestone.
