Build: 9/16/99 SeaMonkey build 1. Start apprunner 2. Choose Preference from the Edit menu 3. Click on Smart Update under Advanced Category 4. Uncheckbox "Enable SmartUpdate" 5. Click OK button to save change 6. Open http://jimbob/trigger2.html and trigger any jar file RESULT: Jar file is trigger and install script is executed EXPECTED RESULT: Jar file cannot be triggered. Perhaps a dialog indicating that SmartUpdate is not enabled is appropriate. NOTE: The other parts of this pane are also not hooked up as well.

Doug, can you see if you can get enable/disable SmartUpdate hooked up in pref pane? Also, what does it mean to notification, if we have SmartUpdate disabled? Do we sill show people flash items?

I hooked up enable for triggers and notification. Uninstall is not hooked up. Marking this as fixed for beta

Build 1999-10-18-09-M11(WIN), 1999-10-18-12-M11(MAC), 1999-10-18-08-M11(LINUX) Enable Software Installations works fine. Testing for notification will come later, and the pref will be tested with it. Manual confirmation does not work, but I will write a new bug specific to it.
