Using seamonkey build from 11/19 on Win 98 box. Launch xpviewer. Hit Reload menu/button. nothing happens.
Component: Windows%20FE → Windows FE
Summary: SS: Reload menu/button not working → ss: Reload menu/button not working
I was unclear about what Product to file these seamonkey UI bugs for xpviewer. Now I was informed by glynn and leger to move them under NGLayout. Bulk moving bugs to NGLayout
Per marketing request. This bug SHOULD be fixed for ss: Please keep on this radar. Need a fix.

I added code to nsBrowserWindow.cpp to invoke the nsIWebShell::Reload interface when the reload button is pressed. It still doesn't seem to work quite right though (like it's reloading from cache or something). But that would be a problem with the nsIWebShell.
Summary: ss: Reload menu/button not working → rn: (xpviewer)Reload menu/button not working
Workaround, put cursor in URL location bar and press return. Will Release Note (rn:) for now.

I'm marking this one resolved. The initial problem (the Reload button wasn't wired up) has been fixed. It now does the right thing and fires off the request to (re)load the URL. There still seems to be some problems actually getting the cache bypassed or something, but that problem should be addressed with a new bug.

okay this fix is good enough for now I guess but I opened up a new bug report calling for a more robust better fix.
comments from Bill Law: Go to a page with some sort of "view count" on it, e.g. http://people.netscape.com/law/os2nav/. Hit reload. The counter doesn't increment. I think it should if the page is truly being reloaded. That's about all I know. Note that content *usually* refreshes when you hit reload. I just happened to use such counter (generated by a CGI script in this case) as a convenient test.
Summary: rn: (xpviewer)Reload menu/button not working → xpviewer)Reload menu/button not working
Confirmed fixed with Nov 28 build. Taking off rn: status.
