Details
Using 1999092308m11 on linux,NT 4.0 and Mac OS 8.5.1
Overview: Seamonkey currently does not reflect a reply-to header in the compose
window if the identity has specified a reply-to address in the account setup.
Communicator 4.6 behavior is: displays a reply-to header with the identity's
reply-to-address pref info in addition to the default To:, Newsgroup: or other
addressee headers on launch of the New Msg or Reply compose window.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit|Account Setup.
Select an identity.
2. Fill in the Reply-to Address field with something different than the Email
Address field contents.
OK to the dialog to confirm the change.
3. Select that identity in the Messenger folders pane (I selected a message in
a folder belonging to this identity).
4. Click New Msg (or Reply).
The compose window properly defaults the From: header as the currently
selected identity, but does not display to the user a Reply-to header showing
the default Reply-to specified in account setup.
Actual Results: No Reply-to header is displayed with the default/account setup
reply-to address.
Expected Results: A Reply-to: header should display with the reply-to address
as specified in that identity's account setup. The user can then choose to
leave it set to the default setting or change it for that message (default
should stay as is in the account setup field).
Side issue: How would this be handled if you're using a profile with many
identities and you switch the From: in the compose window to another identity?

I think if the user have not touched the reply field, we should update/remove it if the user change identity.
Hmm... My original discription of the problem was comparing seamonkey to
Communicator 4.6. It seems Unix displays the Reply-to hdr as a default in the
compose window, but Windows 4.6 doesn't. Now I don't know what's the intended
or proper behavior. This might be deemed an invalid bug...

This is basically implemented using the builds listed below. I will log
specific problems I see with reply-to in compose window as separate bugs.
Basically ok using:
2000-04-12-06m15 commercial build NT 4.0
2000-04-11-09m15 commercial build linux rh6.0
2000-04-12-05m15 commercial build mac OS 9.0
I see that the multiple identity case mentioned as a side issue and commented in
return by ducarroz on 09-27-99 is not working as he stated -- I'll open a new
bug report for that case.
