Extraction of some nested files in the "core_file" fails

Details
Some files (so far only arbitrary gif files) nested multiple levels of
subdirectories in a "core_file" fail to extract. This blocks the use of MIW to
extract mozilla as one entire archive -- the pre-beta hackery plan the release
team was planning to use before automation to generate .xpi's was in place.

Bumped down severity. We won't be fixing this: it appears to be a cryptic bug in
zlib. Instead, we can initially use a simple XPInstall script for the entire
build folder. I'll give jj a handwritten one to use until the xpi component
generation is automated.
