Details
Today's opt bits on Win98.
Launch Nav, default page loads with sidebar open.
Drag grippy to close sidebar.
Grippy disappears, leaving only a scrollbar on the left.
Sidebar is still 'open', but no content is visible, and it cannot be resized
horizontally.

I don't see this on a 10/20 build, perhaps it has been fixed under the guise of
another bug. Peter, please re-open if you still see this, perhaps am I trying
something wrong.

No, I don't see this anymore either, although dragging it closed now leaves it
partially visible. BTW, in cases like this, you should be resolving the bug as
'worksforme'. Bugzilla defines the 'fixed' resolution as "A fix for this bug is
checked into the tree and tested", which is clearly not the case.

This is fixed. You can not drag a splitter to collapse it.

You should be able to close the sidebar by dragging the splitter. Is that
covered by another bug?
Comment 8•25 years ago

so should you or should you not be able to drag the splitter to close it? On the
sidebar, you can drag it to some small mininum width (won't close all the way)
but the majority of the splitter disappears if you drag it left on the My Panels
title.
