When I scroll down in M10 under MacOS 8.6, the browser distorts the bottom of the page. It grabs pixels from whatever is behind the browser (ie. The desktop) and incorporates them in the layout. This means you cannot view pages that require you to scroll down. I have a 7500 with built-in video; I am not using a ATI or other third party video card. A workaround is to scroll down, and then windowshade back-and-forth. This redraws the image and fixes the distortion.

wmwhite, how are you scrolling? are you: - dragging the scroll bar? - or scrolling by a drag-select (bug #15384) Thanks! (please add comments directly to the bug report)
[adding wmwhite's e-mailed response] I am scrolling by dargging the scroll bar. After playing with it a while, I discovered that this bug only appears in a specific instance: If you resize a window small enough, the scroll arrows disappear (They do not seem to be in sync with the window). When you scroll with the scroll bar after this happens, you get the bug.
hey petersen, reproduced this on 1999101208 build at www.mozilla.org, doing horizontal scrolling. As he said, just make the window very small (e.g. 80x80 pixels), and then scroll. (I can't make the scroll bar disappear, though.)

I can't reproduce this with a 12/29/99 build.

With the Jan 03 Mac build, I can't reproduce the original problem mentioned by the reporter.
I can't reproduce this either using the 200010308 Mac OS build.
