Here's the list of punctuation that i need to have considered as word breaks:
&*:;,.?|!="'()[]<>-+_@/\
(yes, i'm trying to spellcheck patches)
One way to do this would be to add a checkbox to the spellchecker
[x] treat punctuation as wordbreaks
It'd be ok with me if this was stuck in a preference panel too. But it is
something which I am likely to change during a single mozilla session, and
assuming I can spellcheck a selection (bug 163655) I would change it while
editing a single file.

I think this is fixed as well as possible by the new word finder.
