I downloaded the 11/28 devprev.zip and attempted to run it. It hangs
immediately on my NT4 SP4 machine after displaying "Attempting to contact host
...".
I would normally suspect personal configuration problems on my machine, but I
did my own debug build using the developer preview branch and it works great.
I'm building a release version now to see if it runs.
It seems very unlikely, but perhaps this is an SP4 versus SP3 thing. (There
probably aren't many SP4 machines around.)
This build ran fine during this weekends testing with NT4.0. Germaine - did you
have SP3 or SP4. If there are problems with SP4, I will release note this.
Putting on that radar now.

I am running NT 4.00.1381 - no problems here...but not being a Windows expert yet
I am not sure what Service Pack this version number reflects
Germaine was using SP3. I'll release note that this is not compatible with SP4.
No worries.

I haven't been able to build a release version of the xpviewer because my Jaz
drive just munched my cartridge. Maybe later.
I kind of doubt that the real problem is SP4. More likely, there is some
DLL incompatibility with an app that I have previously installed or my network
configuration is somehow messed up. (Though I don't have any problem running
the debug version of xpviewer or any other network app.)
You should just hang onto this bug until you get stable and can test with
service pack 4.
