If you go to http://www.yahoo.com, enter a search term, press tab, and then press the spacebar to submit your search, nothing is submitted. However, visual feedback is provided (eg a 'button press') that leads you to believe that something was submitted. In reality, you have to use the mouse here.

I don't know if this is a basic limitation of viewer.exe (which isn't a real browser, after all) versus a defect in the core Gecko code. If the latter, then it will be assigned to some Gecko engineer. I'll look into it further.
