This bug applies only to Communicator 4.6. Java applet fails to getWindow() and a strange exception is raised: netscape.security.AppletSecurityException: security.checkcreateclassloader at java.lang.Throwable.<init>(Compiled Code) at java.lang.Exception.<init>(Compiled Code) at java.lang.RuntimeException.<init>(Compiled Code) at java.lang.SecurityException.<init>(Compiled Code) at netscape.security.AppletSecurityException.<init>(Compiled Code) at netscape.security.AppletSecurity.checkCreateClassLoader(Compiled Code) at java.lang.SecurityManager.checkCreateClassLoader(Compiled Code) at java.lang.ClassLoader.<init>(Compiled Code) at netscape.applet.AppletClassLoader.<init>(Compiled Code) * at netscape.applet.AppletClassLoader.getClassLoader(Compiled Code) at javatoscript.init(Compiled Code) at netscape.applet.DerivedAppletFrame$InitAppletEvent.dispatch(Compiled Code) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread$EventPump.dispatchEvents(Compiled Code) After generating such an exception the Browser crashes upon exit. The same thing happens with other Java applets that use LiveConnect, and only in Communicator 4.6

This bug reporting system is only for Mozilla, the open-source browser that will become the basis for the next version of Netscape Navigator. It may not be used for Navigator 4 bugs. Hence, I'm marking this bug INVALID. To file a bug against Navigator 4.6, you need to contact Netscape technical support. (Incidentally, I recall that this particular bug was fixed in the next release after 4.6, so you might want to download the latest version.)
