Build Date & Platform Bug Found: MacOS commercial seamonkey build 1999-11-01-08-m11 installed on G3/400 OS 8.5.1 Overview Description: In today mac build, gif and jpeg images do not display inline. I sent test messages from Mac 4.7 RTM. My test images were used in the past and displayed ok. Steps to Reproduce: 0) In communicator 4.7 send some message with a single gif/jpeg file attachment and send a message with a inserted gif/jpeg graphic image 1) Delete my mozilla registry and existing user profile 2) Migrate an existing 4.7 imap profile 3) Launch Mail through the task menu 4) Enter you IMAP password when prompted 5) Select one of you test message that you sent from 4.7 The message does not display any part of the graphic image Actual Results: Attached gif/jpeg images show up as blank. The mail header does show it having an attachment. Inserted images show up as blank. None of the message were rendered. No indication that there was a message body. Expected Results: It should rendered displayable images. Additional Builds and Platforms Tested On: This problem does not occur on Win32 build 1999-11-01-09-m11 or Linux build 1999-11-01-09-m11. I had a couple messages in my inbox which I used to verify my changes for displaying inline images for imap way back when. The images displayed fine for me on a 11/9 build. Peter, can you try again in case this problem got fixed along the way?

Scott, I re-tested and found that this problem occurs under POP. IMAP is ok. The builds that I was testing with was ftp://sweetlou/products/client/seamonkey/macos/8.x/ppc/1999-11-08-08-M11/netscap e5-mac-M11.sea.bin The inline attachment does not display. Example, it shows up in the message as "Inbox?number=6450168&part1.1" I'm waiting for the latest Mac 11 to come out...

In the latest M11 Mac commercial seamonkey build 1999-11-15-20-m11, I still have a problem with inline Gif and jpeg images under POP. It's strange because, sometime, displaying inline images work.

Per Jeff recommendation, I re-tested this bug using the following builds: Win32 commercial seamonkey build 1999-12-01-13-m12 installed on P166 Win98 Linux commercial seamonkey build 1999-12-01-13-m12 installed on P200 RedHat 6.1 MacOS commercial seamonkey build 1999-12-01-13-m12 installed on G3 MacOS 8.6 I found that I can not reproduce this problem on mac, win, or linux. I downloaded the two attachments from this bug and used Win32 Communicator 4.7 RTM build to sent several mail messages to several mail accounts. There were 8 test mail messages: - Inserted the gif image into message body, no text. - Inserted the jpg image into message body, no text. - Attached the gif image to mail message, no text in message body. - Attached the jpg image to mail message, no text in message body. - Pasted several paragraphs of text and inserted gif image between paragraphs. - Pasted several paragraphs of text and inserted jpg image between paragraphs. - Pasted several paragraphs of text and inserted gif between paragraphs. - Pasted several paragraphs of text and inserted jpg between paragraphs. I created a new profile with a single pop account. I retrieved the mail messages and could view the images in each mail message. I added a second account set up for IMAP.
