The other day the escalation people were trying to track down a specific bug fix in the ns tree. Since there wasn't a tag cut for this particular fix, it was like looking for a needle in the haystack. What would be useful would be some form of query mechanism that worked on the cvs checkin comments. That way you could do a search for a keyword or keywords and would return to you the comments and the files that had the keyword in it.
