Build Date & Platform Bug Found: Win32 commercial seamonkey build 1999-12-08-09-m12 installed on P166 Win98 Overview Description: This bug was found while verifying bug 20633. On Win32 only, when the user types in the subject field of a mail compose editor, the window title is not updated in real time. This problem occurs under the plain text editor and the html mail editor. You must press enter or the tab key in order for the window title to be updated. If you try to mouse click in the message body, it does not update the title. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Start a new message 2) Click in the Subject field to set the focus. 3) Start typing Text starts to appear in the subject field but the window title does not get updated. Actual Results: When you start typing in the Subject field, the window title does not update until you press enter or tab out of the field. Expected Results: As you type, the window title is updated in real time. Additional Builds and Platforms Tested On: This problems also occurs on yesterday win32 commercial seamonkey build 1999-12-07-16-m12. This problem does not occur on the following linux and macos commercial builds: Linux 1999-12-07-15-m12 Linux 1999-12-08-08-m12 MacOS 1999-12-07-16-m12 MacOS 1999-12-08-08-m12 Additional Information: I verified bug 20633 and open a new bug since it appears to be unique to windows and possible a different problem.
