The first time I opened Mail-News, I filled out all the info it wanted except username and passsword (I planned on filling them out later). After I filled it out, I clicked the "add another" (could be something else, I can't get there again) and a segfault with error below: .//run-mozilla.sh: line 29: 1007 Segmentation fault $prog ${1+"$@"} Now every time I try to open Mail-News, it seg faults (errors below) . It gets the outline of the new window drawn before the segfault (the window is completly gray) .//run-mozilla.sh: line 29: 1021 Segmentation fault $prog ${1+"$@"} .//run-mozilla.sh: line 29: 1033 Segmentation fault $prog ${1+"$@"} This line is really on line 177 of "run-mozilla.sh". Why it says line 29, I don't know . It also didn't leave a core file to debug. This version of Mozilla has a build ID of 1999111520.

I've tried the same some thing on M12 (BUILD 199912223) and the problem is improved, but still there. Within 3 minutes, it has seg faulted twice. It now doesn't seg fault as soon as mail news opens, but shortly after 'account setup' is opened. It still seg faults on line 29 as before. It seems that one of my files is corrupt. Are you getting a core file? If so, it would be helpful to see the stack trace. Without a stack trace or steps to reproduce, we're not going to be able to do anything with this bug report.

The Full Circle version shouldn't need to have debugging enabled (because the debug info lives on the Full Circle server). I can't tell anything from that kernel trace. Have you submitted Talkback reports? I can't connect to the server which hosts Talkback inside Netscape, so I can't look right now, but I'll try again later. If you built a debug version, that would help too, since you'd get a stack trace from the application.
I searched the Talkback reports, and there aren't any from keith.welker@iname.com, and we haven't seen this with any Linux builds. Marking worksforme.
