Reassigning to Mcafee, although I suspect he'll have to resolve this as WORKSFORME if there's no reproduction steps... There have been a dozen bugs or so with this crash; e.g. see 16575.

In the next millenium I'll recomlie the M12 Zilla with debugging symbols again - make I'll release such a version... Happy new year !

Hmm, might be a bug hitting us with random symptoms as eli suggests.

Move to M15 until we get a reproducible case.
