My wife pointed me towards this web site, to look at some stuff. I noticed that the mozilla build (as of the CVS tree of Dec 30, 1999) does a really bad job at laying out the HTML of the site, so much so that it is close to impossible to navigate the site. I don't know if this is really a layout problem, or a Javascript problem, as when I went to the site, I got many, many errors of the form: JavaScript Error: TypeError: document.layers has no properties URL: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/stylePage.asp?RN=16 LineNo: 127 JavaScript Error: TypeError: document.layers has no properties URL: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/stylePage.asp?RN=16 LineNo: 96 JavaScript Error: TypeError: document.layers has no properties URL: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/stylePage.asp?RN=16 LineNo: 127 At any rate, it's a URL that you might want to visit, to see the horror of it up close and personal.

Summary: incredibly bad layout of web page → [LAYER] incredibly bad layout of web page
INVALID. LAYER, ILAYER, document.layers[] not supported in Gecko/Nav5. Closed. Notified reporter and site owner via template at http://sites.netscape.net/ekrock/fixit/layer.html In the future, if possible, please INVALID, notify, and close such bugs directly using that template without assigning to me. Thanks!
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
Marking verified invalid per last comments.
Moving all [LAYER] bugs to Evangelism component for tracking and open-source evangelism by mozilla community members of sites that need to upgrade to support web standards such as HTML 4.0 (instead of LAYER/ILAYER) and the W3C DOM (instead of Nav4 document.layers[] or IE document.all()). Sites should be lobbied to do the upgrade using the email templates that are linked to from http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/bugathon.html#layerbugs . When a site's owner has confirmed receipt of the message requesting an upgrade, the bug should be marked with the keyword evangelized to indicate that evangelism for that bug is complete. When the site finishes the upgrade and supports standards, the bug should be closed.

Removing the evangwanted keyword from 49 evangilizm bugs that also have the evangelized keyword. Having both of these keywords on a bug makes it really hard to do a query for all open evangilizm bugs that are evangwanted. Sorry for the spam.

Sorry about this problem. I somehow screwed up the keyword changes. Sorry about this spam.

Absolutely wonderful! This site should be mentioned in all the guides on how to modify proprietary javascript into standards-compliant javascript. The pages were changed and the pop-up menus actually work in netscape 6/mozilla. Big thanks to the coders for such an effort, I am CC'ing ekrock in case he is keeping up pages that demonstrate that ns6 *can* do pop-ups ;) Sorry for the trouble if you're not. Marking fixed.

I bet things were way different 20 years ago for web development and bugs.

I found another interesting website who sells similar products I guess. I was surprised when my wife bought this to my attention called https://www.stumpler.com/dinnerware-sets

Initially I did some bug on this website using Mozilla but I guess they fixed it. But using safari or other browsers it was working perfectly fine.

it will nice to know if someone else the errors on this website using Mozilla.
