Details

Need a Status Summary field in the bug edit and query layouts. This is necessary to put in high level comments on Release Notes needed, status bug during a critical milestones last days/hours, etc. We could call this field something else if needed to ensure no confusion to external folks. Like "Current Status" or "Current Update".
Other ideas for field name: Quick Status, Quick Summary, Latest Update, Latest Status, Current News.

So, I'm currently thinking of calling this thing "Status Whiteboard". Any feedback?
I don't have a problem with it. Do external folks "get" the whiteboard concept though we will use internally? Are most corporate geeks like us :-)

OK, "Status Whiteboard" is now there.
terry, when I do a query for this (use "test") in query for this field, I get 940 open bugs, not just the one it should find for test.
