Details

When you select a product in a Bugzilla query, it takes about 10 seconds where you can't type or make selections, and the component array is not updated. Not sure whether this is a bug in the selectProduct method or a bug for DOM Level 0 or 1. Linux build 2000.01.10.08

I think you're talking about the JavaScript in the main query page (http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/query.cgi), right? At any rate, it works under Netscape Communicator, so I don't see how the JavaScript code itself can be at fault. Reassigning to the Browser product.

There's a performance problem associated with OPTION insertion and removal that's triggered by changing the component (I believe the version and maybe some other SELECT elements are edited). Reassigning to pollmann since he's aware of the performance issue.
