Using builds 2000101211m13 on win98, 2000011212m13 on linux and 2000011208 on
Mac IMAP special folders are not being recoginzed as special folders.
1. They don't have the special folder icon when listed in the Folder pane or any
menupopup.
2. They are not listed at the top of the menupopup for Account Setup|Copies and
Folders or the Move|Copy menus

moving to m14.
adding david and scott to the cc list.
something to note, given that have multiple identities, and each identity has
its own copies and folders prefs, we can have multiple special folders.

I can take this if you want. First of all no special folders are being listed
at the top of any menus so it's not just IMAP. At the time when I tried
it, you couldn't sort menus. Now we should be able to. Second, Imap special
folders are being recognized in the folder pane which you can tell because they
are being sorted to the top. We just don't have a special icon for them yet.

accepting for now, but I may re-assign.
On my system, my POP folders are listing the Special Folders first and they have
the specila icon. This is in all views Folder pane, Account Setup and menu
items Move Message|Copy Message.

this got fixed when I checked in the new icons. Just so this doesn't get
reopened for this reason, currently the UI spec has the Drafts, Templates, Sent,
and Unsent Messages folders looking like regular folders instead of having
special icons. The only ones that show up as special are the Inbox and Trash
folders.

The Inbox for a POP account is considered a special folder in the spec, but the
icon is not a special icon. Reopening this to include POP inbox, if you prefer
a new bug, mark as fixed again and add comment. Changing the summary to reflect
POP too.

Summary: IMAP special folders are not being recognized as special → IMAP & POP special folders are not being recognized as special
I just checked a new profile and the POP account Inbox icon is showing as a
special folder. I have to investigate more to find out the scenario when the
Inbox is not showing as a special folder. Leaving reopened for the day to see
if I can find the scenario, then I will resolve and verify as fixed if I can't
find one.

After investigating I found the POP account on some of my profiles on both Win98
and linux display the Inbox with an open folder icon. I can reproduce this on a
POP migrated account after logging on then collapsing the server, the expanding
it again the open folder icon displays. However when I close the app, then
relaunch the correct icon is back and stays put during several expand and
collapse tests. Resolving this bug as fixed again and will do more testing to
find a simple test scenario for the icon changing.
