Build Date & Platform Bug Found:
Mac commercial seamonkey build 2000-01-12-08-m13 installed on G3/400 OS 8.6
Overview Description:
Reported by Kathy Brade (brade@netscape.com). She's seeing this problem in the
past debug and optimize builds.
When you view plain text messages on the Mac seamonkey build, the last url(s) do
not display as url and are not clickable. Yet the same messages display fine on
win32 seamonkey and linux seamonkey.
This problem occurs on Mac seamonkey only. The mail message can be sent from
communicator 4.7 or seamonkey.
Steps to Reproduce:
0) From communicator or seamonkey, sent yourself a plain text message using the
plain text editor. For the message body, I typed in the same url five times. For
example:
http://www.netscape.com
http://www.netscape.com
http://www.netscape.com
http://www.netscape.com
http://www.netscape.com
1) Launch Mac seamonkey
2) Open messenger
3) Log into mail
It does not matter if you are using IMAP or POP
4) Select the message your sent
Notice that the last one/two links do not show up as link. They are not
clickable.
Actual Results:
The last one/two links do not display as links and are not clickable.
Under IMAP, a 4.7 plain text messages shows the last two link as not clickable.
Under IMAP, a seamonkey plain text message shows the only the last link as not
clickable.
Under POP, a 4.7 plain text messages shows the only the last link as not
clickable.
Under POP, a seamonkey plain text message shows the last 2 links as not
clickable.
I do not know why this would display differently under pop and imap. I'm viewing
the same test messages.
Expected Results:
All links should displays as links are clickable when viewed under Mac seamonkey.
Additional Builds and Platforms Tested On:
This problem does not occur on win32 commercial seamonkey build 2000-01-12-08-
m13 and linux commercial seamonkey build 2000-01-13-08-m13.
This problem does not occur on Mac communicator 4.7 rtm.
Additional Information:
When I viewed the page source of my 4.7 and seamonkey plain text messages, all
the links looked the same.
** I will attach a sample mail folder.

This is actually the same problem as the FORM element problem. Its a general
problem with the Text to HTML conversion. I will mark the other bug with a
better description.
