Details
description: In the mail-news 3-pane window moving the mouse pointer over
certain menu items in a context menu cause a seconf context menu to appear. The
first pop-up context menu appears below and to the right of where you right
click. The second menu pops up in the top left corner of the window when you
mouse over the context menu's menu items with sub menus..
steps to reproduce:
1. open mail-news
2. click on a mail or news folder to display headers in teh header pane
3. right-clcik on a header in teh header pane.
4. move the mouse down the context menu until it rests over the 'Move To' menu
item.
5. move the mouse pointer up to the 'Forward' menu item and back down to the
'Move To' menu Item
results: a second pop-up window appears in the top left of the mail-news window.
expected result: there should not be a second pop-up visible.
additional notes: if you play with the menu you will see that the 'ghost' second
pop-up onl shows itself when you move the mouse pointer over the 'Move To' and
'Copy To' menu items which both have sub menus.
tested on 1/13/00 win32 build with a really slow machine (p90 with 16 MB RAM)

Additional Information:
- Mac, build 2000011208M13. I don't see the Context Menus. Are they enabled on

reassigning to hyatt. I'm not sure if this is part of the bug with default
location or not. Basically, when you go over the move or copy menu items, the
submenus get put in the wrong place and sometimes the main context menu looks
like it's appearing twice on screen. Of course, I could have messed up the xul.
Hopefully not.

I took a look at the positioning bug and I think that this is different. This
bug doccuments a 'ghost' artifact, a second pop-up that flickers in the top left
corner of the window reguardles of where you bring up the original context-menu.
If it is possible that this only shows up on slower machines that may be the
case because I'm testing on a P90 with only 32 MB RAM. If others aren't
seeing it maybe it's because it 'flashes' on and off too fast. It may not be
related at all but I also see a similar 'ghost' when clicking on any type of
submit button for a text input field. The ghost text input field will flash
into existence for a split second to the left of the real one. Can we
re-consider marking this a duplicate and investigate further.

This bug is actually a duplicate of 26452 (fixed) I think. But since it is
indeed a duplicate (if not a duplicate of 21223) I'm avoiding the spam of
re-open for differnt duplicate number and just marking it verified.
