Details

The "customize" icon just right to the "My Panles" text in the sidebar doesn't look anything like a button. Both when not active and with the mouse cursor moved over it.

This has changed. Instead of "Customize" button, "Add" is seen and it activates when mouse in moved over it. Marking this Fixed. Gemal, pls verify this.

It still doesn't look anything like a button. Ideally, it should be a little bevelled square with `...' on it, or something similar.
Actually I quite happy with the current "Add" button. I agree with you that the "Add" text still doesn't look like a button. And perhaps it should, to be consistent in the UI. Should this be verified or re-opened?
The current add implementation is likely strong enough so that those who need it will see it. The mouseover is fixed as far as I know, it know works exactly like other controls on the dark blue areas of this skin. Furthermore the arrow icon indicates that there is a control. Adding more to it means adding more clutter. So to me it is fixed, until we find problems in the next round of usability testing, in which case I'll reopen it.
Thanx german. Verified as fixed...
