Perform a file search for something common like "ftp", and on the list of files
found is a button to view the next 25 hits of the find. The first time you
click on the button, it jumps to the bottom of the currently viewed page. The
second time you click on it, it will do the submission to get the next page.
I've done this on both the windows version of M13, and the Linux version.
I'm running Windows '98, and RedHat Linux 6.1
nothing to do with html dialogs ( of which there are zero in the product ;)).

guidelines. Removing self as QA Assigned and moving to browser-general.

I can see this as well on M13, but it seems to be fixed on 2000.01.30.09
(Linux). Seems to be a form submission bug.
To reproduce:
1. Go to http://hotfiles.com/
2. Enter search term "ftp"
3. On first search result page, scroll until you see the button that says "Hits
27-52", but not all the way to the bottom.
4. Click on the button
Actual result: Page scrolls to end
Expected result: Form submitted, next set of search results displayed
If it works for you then let's close this. If you want to re-open it, then
re-assign it to the forms submission folks.

I just downloaded the daily binary for linux (Build ID# 2000020408) and it still
does the same thing.
To recap the steps to reproduce this:
1. Goto www.hotfiles.com
2. Near the top of the page underneath the ad banner is a box
labeled "Search For", type in "ftp" and hit <Enter>
3. It will produce a list of items found, grab the scrollbar down
until you see a button submission box in the middle of the
screen with the text "Hits 27-52" inside. If you dragged the
scrollbar correctly, it will not be all the way down.
4. Clicking on the submission button the first time will bring the page
contents to the bottom. Scrollbar will also be as far as it can
go. Click on it a second time, and the form submission will
take place and you'll get the expected results.
Again, I double checked with the windows version. Daily download as well.
Sorry, I'm in Linux now, and I forgot to note the windows build id.
