I know there has been some discussion on what could possibly be done to achieve this, but those discussions seem to have stalled and actual attempts to achieve this functionality for the Mac seem to be nonexistant. I feel that it certainly warrents a good investigation. If I were a programmer I would download the SDKs myself and start working immediately, because I absolutely love using Thunderbird on my Mac. Unfortunately, I know zilch about programming. However, I hope somebody will be willing to go to the above URL and investigate the possibilities.
