Build 2000-02-04-10M14: NT4, Linux 6.0, Mac 8.5.1 Overview: Copy and Pasting a message is not working. Steps to reproduce: 1. In the thread pane select a message 2. Select Edit|Copy 3. Select another folder 4. Select Edit|Paste Actual Results: Notice that the "Paste" option is disabled. Expected Results: The Paste option should be available. After selecting "Paste" then I should see a duplicate copy of the message in the current folder. If this can't be fixed then should the "Copy" menu item be disabled for Beta? Additional Information: - I checked 4.7 and it has the same problem.

It's probably my misunderstanding of how this is suppose to work. Copy and Paste works if I highlight text from the message pane and paste it somewhere else. It does not work if the message is selected in the thread pane. So the Summary should change to say "Disable Copy when message from thread pane is selected"?
Changing the subject so that the Edit|Copy menu is disabled when a message is selected in the Thread pane. Copying hangas since he's been working on disabling menu items.
Summary: 3-pane Copy and Paste not working → Disable Edit|Copy when message selected in Thread pane
This is working for me. When focus is in the thread or folder panes, the copy menu is disabled. When focus is in the message pane and text is selected, teh copy menu item is enabled. Waiting for verification before marking WORKSFORME.
