HOW TO REPRODUCE: Visit http://www.bath.ac.uk/%7Esu0bufs/ CURRENT BEHAVIOUR: The GIF image in the IMG in the H1 never finishes downloading. The page displays, but neither alt or IMG is visible. EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR: There should be an image above the "A Member of the British Federation of Film Societies" subtitle.

Michael, maybe this is a Win98 problem, it looks okay to me under NT with the latets build

This is definitely still a problem on the 1999-03-12 build. The image does not appear, and the throbber goes into overdrive. What is interesting is that after a considerable wait (of several minutes) the image *did* appear. I am using Windows 98, on a P120, 16MB RAM. There is around 550MB free hard disk space. The network connection is a direct LAN connection, the webserver (www.bath.ac.uk) is in the same domain as the machine I am using. There is virtually no traffic on the LAN at the moment (it is 2:48am here...). I can download the image directly; that is to say if I visit http://www.bath.ac.uk/~su0bufs/media/logo.gif ...then the viewer displays the image immediately with no problem.

I just tried it on a build that is a day or two old. (About 03-19-99.) and the page displays fine. There was a dreadful bug last week where a check in for the tool bars sent everything going into a redraw loop fore-v-e-r. I am marking this fixed. py8ieh, if you continue to see this bug after updating to the current tree, please reopen this. Much thanks. -pn

Verified fixed in 1999-03-23 build.
Changing all Networking Library/Browser bugs to Networking-Core component for Browser. Occasionally, Bugzilla will burp and cause Verified bugs to reopen when I do this in a bulk change. If this happens, I will fix. ;-)
Bulk move of all Networking-Core (to be deleted component) bugs to new Networking component.
