In M13 under MS-Windows 98(English version), Mozilla appends the last Korean character entered to the end of the string (thus making the last character in the string duplicated) whenever I press space-bar or press 'submit' button in (single line) **form** field. This doesn't happen in mail/news composer. I haven't checked it in 'textarea'. I think this is also the case in MS-Windows 95/NT 4.0/2000 with Global IME for Korean. (I'm not sure if this happens under Korean version of MS-Windows 95/98/NT/2000). To reproduce, 1. install Global IME for Korean (available from MS website) 2. launch Mozilla M13 3. go to the URL above(or any other web site with form input. e.g. http://www.yahoo.co.kr/) 4. enter a Korean word and press the submit button OR enter a Korean sentence with spaces delimeting words in the sentence
The same thing happens in textarea of the form input and mail/news composition (subject and body) as well. I put up two screenshots at http://photon.hgs.yale.edu/~jungshik/moztest/moz1.jpg http://photon.hgs.yale.edu/~jungshik/moztest/moz2.jpg

I couldn't reproduce this as originally described with 032206M15b1 bld (dup of last char entered) under Win98En+Global IME. However, after committing text input, merely getting mouse pointer over (or clicking on) "Search" button at http://www.yahoo.co.kr/ would display the duplicate of the entire form field with its content on the left of the field. Didn't happen on other KO search sites tried (e.g., http://www.simmani.co.kr/).
Summary: Mozilla adds 'extra' character when Korean is typed with Global IME for Korean → Mozilla adds extra character when Korean is typed with Global IME
I've just tried this again with the latest nightly build(20000321 0r 20000322) under Englsih MS Windows 98 and Global IME for Korean worked very well as blee described. The bug I reported seems to have gone since. Has there been any change made in this area which you think fixed this problem? Or, has it just gone :-) ? If the former is the case, it could be declared this bug resolved.
It seem the problem is gone.
