I scrolled on mozilla page with the Intellimouse, when suddenly the page URL changed to http://www.ein%20befehl%20einl%c3%a4uft.com/ (for non german translated " www.a command is running.com" ) and then the browser complained that it was not able to find this host. build: 2000021916
The problem does not occure with slow wheel turning, but with fast scrolling it is absoulte reproducible and generates fancy messages pointing to gkhtml.dll http://mozilla%20verursachte%20einen%20fehler%20durch%20eine%20ung%c3%bcltige%20seite%0ain%20modul%20gkhtml.dll%20bei%200167:6021/
Reassigning to bryner@uiuc.edu who is the expert on mouse wheels.

Ok, are you sure you are not accidentely pressing the wheel button when scrolling? That can cause a paste into the URL bar.
May be I have spoiled some dll's with bug 28608, I started today with a clean client and could not reproduce the bug.
