You cannot paste content into the Mail compose window, but you can paste the same content into a Composer window. Build ID - 2000-02-21-08 Steps to reproduce: 1. Copy some content from a browser Web page into the clipboard (on Windows - select content and type Cntrl-C) 2. Open a Composer component window (Tasks | Composer) 3. Paste content into the Composer component window (on Windows, type Cntrl-V); content is pasted - more or less - as expected 4. Launch Mail (Tasks | Mail) 5. Open a Mail compose window ("New Msg" from Mail toolbar) 6. Get focus on message body, and try to paste the content in the clipboard Expected: Content is pasted into Mail compose window similar to result in Step 3. Actual: Nothing is pasted into Mail compose window.

Was this observed with plain text mail compose, or HTML? If plain text, then this bug sounds similar to bug 19428.

Observed using HTML composition - the content being pasted included embedded links, and text treatment (such as bold).

Using 2000-02-22-08m14 on NT 4.0: I'm able to get paste to work in plaintext and html compose windows via CTRL+V or menu item.

This worksforme using feb22 builds with linux rh6.0 and mac OS 9.0, too.

Works for me too using today's build - 2000-02-22-08 on WinNT.
