Steps to Reproduce:

the Prefs dialog is supposed to be modal...but yeah, this is unique on linux in
that you can bring the browser window in focus (but not be able to do anything
else than that).
pavlov/german/shuang, is this expected behavior for linux modal dialogs? if so,
then i guess this would be invalid...

reassign it to german to determin: we had long discussion while ago about the
prefs. dialog and whether it should be modal. german, do you remember what was
the decision?

I seem to recall that Alec Flett implemented an experimental non-modal version of
the prefs dialog. There's a pref for it somewhere (a temporary one, hopefully
:-/ ).
seems to work ok now on m16 !
result: browser comes to foreground and responds to mouseclicks.
