dp, any idea why this might happening?

Looks like we are depending on some jpg library to exist on the user machine. Pam, I thought for unix we are compiling jpeg in instead of depending on user machine having any libaray. Can you clarify ?

Summary: SuSE 6.2 with mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-M13-fullcircle.tar.gz → cannot find libjpeg on SuSE 6.2
Yep, I'm afraid you will need libjpeg.so.62. All of the platforms should ship the jpeg library, but give the user a way to use their own local jpeg library. I believe unix folk are the only folks who want/expect to use their own local image decoder libs. -P
J: I think this is a tarball issue. We should send the jpeg library, and let the user decide if they want to use their local jpeg and png libraries. -P

reporter - look at bug 27617, that could help you. it has the link for the libjpeg that works with mozilla
