Installed libjpeg is for SuSE 6.2:
libjpeg.so.6.0.1
This is my first try at Mozilla and on the bugreport system, so I hope I did it
right.

Looks like we are depending on some jpg library to exist on the user machine.
Pam, I thought for unix we are compiling jpeg in instead of depending on user
machine having any libaray. Can you clarify ?

Summary: SuSE 6.2 with mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu-M13-fullcircle.tar.gz → cannot find libjpeg on SuSE 6.2
Yep, I'm afraid you will need libjpeg.so.62.
All of the platforms should ship the jpeg library,
but give the user a way to use their own local jpeg library.
I believe unix folk are the only folks who want/expect to
use their own local image decoder libs.

J:
I think this is a tarball issue. We should send
the jpeg library, and let the user decide if they
want to use their local jpeg and png libraries.
