Build 2000-03-01-08M15: NT4, Linux 6.0, Mac 8.5.1 Overview: In a new message, loading "About My Wallet" completely overwrites the message area and displays "Welcome to the Wonderful World of Wallets" page. Steps to reproduce: 1. In Mail's main window (aka 3-pane) select the "New Msg" button 2. Place the cursor in the Address pane or Subject 3. Select Tasks|My Wallet|About My Wallet Actual Results: The message body is replaced with the "About My Wallet" page. Expected Results: After select About My Wallet the Browser should open and display the Wallet page, not effecting the body of the message.

If text exists in the body of the message then the result is data loss.

if there's data loss, i'd bump this up to critical, imho. also changed OS to all.

I'm confused here just as I was in bug 29842. See my comments there.

OK, end of confusion. I just pulled the latest tree and was surprised to discover that the changes I made several weeks ago to hide the wallet items had been undone. So the fix is to redo what I did previously. I have the fix ready to be checked in just as soon as I get a code review and approval. Note that this also accounts for bug 29842 and 29848, so the same fix that I'll be checking in will fix all three bugs.

Strictly speaking, these three bugs do not depend on each other but rather all depend on a fourth bug which was never filed. Namely, wallet items suddenly reappeared in menu. But I guess we don't have to be that maticulous in our tracking (or do we?).

Fix checked in. Involves changes to tasksOveray.js and tasksOverlay.xul. Not closing this out because this will be a problem again when wallet is reenabled post beta1. So I'm simply changing milestone from m14 to m15.

steve, since the menus have/are in flux ;-), i no longer see About My Wallet in the menus. that is, in the browser, it'd be located under Tasks > Personal Managers > Form Manager > Demonstration. but the Form Manager menu item is absent in Mail. i presume this is expected? if so, i'll go ahead and verify this. tested with: linux, opt comm: 2000.03.27.11 macOS, opt comm: 2000.03.27.10 winNT, opt comm: 2000.03.27.09
