The first page of ith CCK Wizard machine is way too busy. To make it cleaner I would suggest it be broken up to 2 pages. The first page should only consist of an introduction to the product and then the next page could go into the New, or Existing path. Also, if the second page consisted of a New or Existing button/path it would not be necessary to present the user with ths prerequisite for a new install (ie. bookmark file, custom animation, readme file, etc)until the New button was chosen. Once chosen the prerequisite page(doesn't presently exist) would appear and have help buttons on each prerequisite item.

Reassigning this bug to myself. We may be switching wizard screen sizes to 800x600, which will give us more room on this screen. Adding Bijal to cc: list so he can respond. Bijal - have we decided to go with 800x600 (the seamonkey standard) for the CCK wizard screens?

After looking at IEAK 5.0 beta, I conclude that we stick to our 640x480 screen size and be more creative with organizing information on the screens. IEAK 5.0 uses a smaller screen size with a huge top border indicating the phase (branding, customizing, etc.) that one is in. Please use bullets where possible. One thing that I have noticed from our 4 local ISP visits is that most people do not even read the first screen. It's too busy and they do not look at the list of things that they need to prepare before using CCK.

If this screen isn't serving it's purpose, we should try to eliminate it. Maybe we could hide all that stuff under a help button? Vince's suggestion about create customization vs modify existing customization should be worked in somehow too. Suggestions?

Reopening based on latest CCK build dated: 09-30-99 Jemma will be hopefully creating an image that will "clean up" this screen.
