(This bug imported from BugSplat, Netscape's internal bugsystem. It was known there as bug #323573 http://scopus.netscape.com/bugsplat/show_bug.cgi?id=323573 Imported into Bugzilla on 02/11/99 19:39) Netscape 4.5b2/Export, 09-Sep-98 Linux RH/5.0 Prefs | Smart Browsing Enter a domain name in the "ignore" text field at the bottom of the pane, then exit and restart. I get a pref error, unterminated string literal. libpref then appears to bail out completely and none of my prefs seem to be in effect.
Ok, 4.06 has the same problem. Typing a return character at the end of the list causes problems at the next startup, on 4.06 you abort, 4.5 gives the pref warning I described. Both 4.5 & 4.06 work if you just list domains w/o a carriage return. Not pretty, but laterable. I think we should fix this for 5.0.
Setting TFV to 5.0. Agreed, let's fix it in Gromit.
