To see this, Launch installer and go thru installation dialogs until stub installer starts to run SmartDownload. In SmartDownload UI, check the word "status". ==> The last character of the katakana word is missing. Observed in Win32 032206 and 032306 JA blds.

Reopening as this happens again in Ja PR2 2000-07-11-09-M17 bld. Besides this string, others such as "click here", "copy from", "copy to", etc. are all truncated in this bld.

not translation issue but engineering issue.
