The Cache directories in mozilla are mode 000. That means I get tons of error messages if I run a find in .mozilla, I can't look in them with tools like grep, and I can't rm -rf them if I need more disk space (or if I've just moved my mozilla preferences to another partition for disk space reasons). 4.x let the cache directories be mode 755. Even if you don't want them world readable, why not 700?
