Using 2000-04-11-10m15 commercial build on mac OS 9.0 When sending a new html message with format option chosen to Plain Text Only, the message is sent in plain text but contains html tags. This affects forwarding inline, too. 1. Go to mail window, login to mail account. Set compose window pref to use the html compose window. 2. Open a new message composition window and compose a simple html message. 3. From the compose window set Options|Format to "Plain Text only". (this can also be set from main prefs dialog Edit|Prefs|Mail&News|Formatting|Convert to plain text only ) 4. Send the message, get it, display it. Result: message is sent in plain text, but the html tags are there.

reassign to rhp. I doubt it's a Mac only problem.
