Simon Fraser suggests that this may be a problem in NSPR. When attemption to load http://www.city.net, apprunner stalls indefinitely. Every 30seconds or so, it trys again (the progress bar moves) but nothing more is loaded. Yesterday I was able to notice that it was trying to load an ad from image.eimg.com, but that isn't consistently the problem. Other ads don't work, and sometimes some ads load before the page stalls. rebooting the mac helped once, but hasn't helped since.
Priority: P3 → P1
Target Milestone: M3
Putting on M3 radar.
Target Milestone: M3 → M4
Changed target milestone to M4. This sounds like the DNS problem and I doubt we can fix it for dogfood.
This looks like a duplicate of bug #2132, "Mac DNS Lookups are Synchronous". *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 2132 ***
