Created by J. Daniel Powell (dan@java-linux.org) on Monday, April 6, 1998 7:04:03 PM PDT Additional Details : After compilation on a Linux 2.0.33 Alpha-Linux machine with Motif-1.2 and gcc-2.8.1, Mozilla immediately halts with a floating point exception.

Yeah, we've been working on this on & off for a few months. 64-bit issues, handing this over to briano.

My first inclination is to suspect the version of gcc you're using. I've never been able to build a working Communicator on _any_ platform using 2.8.1. This may not do anything for you, other than waste your time, but I'd try using 2.7.2.* instead.
Dan, Brian, is this bug still valid? Trying to clean up old bugs.

Since we've basically started from scratch with mozilla, I think this bug can go away because it no longer applies to the current source.
