March 11 Seamonkey builds, Mac 8.5/G3, Linux 5.2, optimized, viewer March 10 win98 optimized, viewer 1. Launch Seamonkey and load page: http://www.bffs.org.uk/ 2. This page has the Head profile attribute; it is unclear even per HTML 4.0 spec precisely what the user should see when this attribute is used. • What should the user experience here when the longdesc attribute is used? Need clarification on this from engineering to determine A) if this is indeed a functional failure B) to refine test case.

HOW we handle an attibute is a layout issue (or at least a style issue). Passing this to kipp.

We store the attribute in the content model; the attribute has no impact on layout, etc. Its up to the outer application (at best) to do something with the attribute; it seems to be mostly aimed at search engines which the browser isn't.
Kipp do you have a basic test I can use just to verify that the attribute is indeed accessible?

Not my area of expertise. Passing the buck.. I mean reassigning QA Contact to beppe.

the profile attribute data is passed through without error, there is no visible rendering of the attribute within the window.
