components won't show up on the query page unless you enter in a product
description.
changing summary.
if you add components or products, they won't show up until the static files are
rebuilt. we should probably force a rebuild when we edit these tables.

i am an idiot. code exists for this already. my mistake was that if you choose
to go directly into the database and add these to the tables, the code that
causes the versioncache to be update is never invoked.
