In the 2000042611 Win32 build, the mail window is displaying messages with "Content-type: text/plain" as HTML messages. This makes it very hard to read messages with quoted ('>') text since most of the text text is strung together. What should look like this: > This is some > quoted text in a > reply message displays like this: > This is some > quoted text in a > reply message

I really think this needs to be fixed for M16 ... this bug makes it very hard to read replies to long emails, especially mail that gets forwarded from the various newsgroups. I had to stop using yesterdays build to read mail because it was just too hard to follow conversations when you couldn't see who said what. Marking bug dogfood.

I also am having this problem with browsing text/plain files in Navigator on Linux build 2000051808, for instance, http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1738.txt. But who wants to be able to read rfc's anyway? I wonder if this is tied with bug 24822.
This is one of those daily regressions that I believe is working ok now. At least its working ok for me. - rhp
