Using apr27 m16 commercial builds After adding a new account, logging into that account then selecting the server folder/account causes the folder pane to display the account name for all the folders in the hierarchy. This is a temporary effect, but will also happen to other accounts in the profile if you then select their respective (expanded) server folder. 1. Open an IMAP profile, go to mail window, expand hierarchy and login to mail account. Folders are displayed. 2. Add a new IMAP account, confirm addition. 3. Go to folder pane and expand the newly added account hierarchy, select INBOX and login. Folders are discovered and displayed with proper naming. 4. Select the (top level) server/account folder. Result: all folders in the open hierarchy now display the same name as the account. 5. Select the INBOX for the first IMAP account, then select its top level account folder. Same thing happens to that hierarchy's folders' names. Result: After adding a new account, opening it and logging in then selecting the top level account/server folder, the folder pane will temporarily display the account name in place of all that hierarchy's folders' names. Corrects itself after collapsing/expanding the server again.

This dazzling effect also happens upon first login (then selecting server folder) after migration.

I can't reproduce this on my machine, but my guess is that this is the same bug that's making the folder message counts show up in the thread pane and that is making clicking on the green diamond in the threadpane in threaded mode show up on child messages. reassigning to waterson.

It seems to happen in random ways... I saw nbaca logged a situation about selecting subfolders within the hierarchy -- I can't reproduce her steps, but my server kind of steps work each and every time for me.
I'm pretty sure that this was a the same problem as 37290.
