In this morning's build, when I open up Preferences from the mail 3Pane, I get the top level mailnews preference panel but there's no tree on the left so I can't choose any other preferences.

adding hyatt/karnaze - I was having this problem in the filters dialog, basically the tree was collapsing to zero height/width. I fixed it in that dialog by flexing the tree inside it's enclosing box. I'll try looking at prefs now.

sure enough, if I put flex="1" on the tree, and change the neighboring <iframe> to flex="4", the pref window looks normal again. Attaching a patch.

putterman, do you mind reviewing? also adding ben to CC so he can review granrose, this should be a blocker, but the quick fix is here. can I get approval?

looks fine on linux/winNT 2000.05.01.11 (comm), but is still a problem on Mac (same build id). reopening.

I blame my ineptitude with MacCVS. I'll respin mac again, making sure i have alecf's fix before starting the build (the mac died sometime after i started the update... i'll make doubly sure with this respin). You can leave this bug open, but leave the tree open as well, at least until another mac spin comes out.
