Overview Description: Opening sidebar panels causes complete freeze of win32 UI (Explorer) Steps to Reproduce: 1) delete .\Users50 (Note: this puts all .rdf files to some known reproducible state -- this bug is not a profile bug, though) 2) start mozilla (commercial build to match these steps to repro) 3) go to home.netscape.com (to kill the default Netscape 6 demo/CPU-hog) 4) Sidebar shows 6 tabs (by default) -- top to bottom -- News, Stocks, Buddy List, Search, What's related, CNN.com 5) click on stocks, then buddy list (cancel out of dialog), search in that order Actual Results: The entire windows Explorer UI will freeze after you click on 'search' Expected Results: not freeze Reproducibility: always (if you follow these steps) Build Date & Platform Bug Found: 2000050111 win95 Additional Builds and Platforms Tested On: CANNOT reproduce on linux 2000050111, mac 2000050111 Additional Information: This may be a side-effect of the current bug with panels, bug #37725, although it may point out a more basic problem
I definitely saw this problem on john's win95. Cannot reproduce on NT.
I can no longer reproduce this with may09 and may10 win32 builds on win95. Marking WORKSFORME, but shrir, bug me to try this on another day before you verify.
