This bug is to track backend hookup of the prefs to address book functionality. Components of the synchronization prefs section: 1. Pref for overall enabling/disabling of address book synchronization 2. Sub-prefs with selection dropdown lists to choose a local address book and web address book to involve in the synch. for the simple ab synch ui, there are only two prefs. port and server. the ui has been updated. this bug will become valid when the full ab synch ui is implemented. marking m20.

this bug is currently considered one of our beta2 feature exceptions. Is the real UI bug an nsbeta2 bug?

It seems the more important behavior is the first described in the bug. I think this has been fixed (but having trouble with today's build). Can someone confirm? If so, are we done with this bug?

There's no longer any AB Sync prefs on the specs at http://www.mozilla.org/mailnews/specs/addressbook/ and AB sync isn't supported/implemented. Therefore wontfix this bug.

AB sync was a Netscape.com-only feature. Verified WONTFIX.
